ARRANBEE (R&B) Gallery

This is an 18" composition Anne Shirley (also marketed as Little Lady). I restored her with magnets in her palms to give her what effanbee called "Magic Hands". When she came to me, she had a rusted music box mechanism mounted to the inside of her back. After soaking it in WD40, I was able to manually move the cylinder and learn the song had been "Happy Birthday". Happily, these mechanisms are still being made and I was able to replace it with another just like it. Even the screws matched up to the original holes! Her blonde nohair wig is a new replacement. I duplicated her original shoes in real leather. Her smocked dress is one I found in a doll shop about a decade ago and it looks very similar to one I've seen this doll wearing in the books.
